This 2- day course identifies operational activities and safety concerns for structural Company Officers (Cos) assigned to a wildland urban interface (WUI) incident. Topics covered include: Introduction to WUI firefighting - Interface environment - Wildland fire behavior- Command and control issues of WUI firefighting - Tactics
- Selection Criteria
- COs or chief officers who may be in command of a single resource or Strike Team at the scene of a wildland/WUI incident.
Course date: April 21 & 22, 2026
Location: RRMFD Station 2 - 957 Calle Calabasas Rio Rico, Az 85648
There will be a $30 AZCFSE certificate fee per attendee, payable by departmental check, cashier's check or money order, which will cover an AZCFSE state Certificate of Completion and a record in the online (ERMA) database. The $30 fee will be collected at the time of the course.
